It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

I've been gearing up for next week's Vintage Market in nearby Maple Ridge, BC. I hope lots of you can make it out--it's going to be amazing!
In addition to lots of vintage items, I'm filling my booth with Christmas hand-mades.
Here's my Vintage Santa ornie.
For those of you who can't make it, I've downloaded a sampling of my handmade wares into my General Store.  If you click on the logo on the right, the link will take you to Christmas 2012.  And if you want to order anything, just let me know!

A Wonderful Vintage Market

Several months ago, Leah and Barb of The Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market invited me to participate as a vendor in their first Market planned for June 23rd at the fairgrounds in Maple Ridge, BC.  That was yesterday and what a great day it was!  This is a "Before" picture of the Country Quilts booth when we  arrived to set up on Friday...
...and this is the "After".
Time to start selling some of my quilts and antiques...
and other handmades.

After months of planning, buyers were lined up before the Market opened on Saturday.
Here are pictures of a few of the other wonderful booths.
Looking into the hall from the entrance....
And from the other end...
I also had a prize draw...

My husband drew the name this morning.

And the winner is (drumroll please)...

Congratulations Wendy!
(I'll email you the certificate right away.)
My first time vending at the Olde Farmhouse Vintage Market,
but definitely not my last!
Thanks Leah and Barb for organizing a wonderful show!

Loving the Creative Life

Can it possibly be April already?
Time is flying and I feel so very blessed to be able to spend my days doing what I love.
This past week I've been making all kinds of fun things to sell at the Vintage Market coming up in June and on consignment throughout the year at Creekside Home Decor here in Abbotsford.
Here's a sampling of what you can expect to see.
Of course, there'll be an assortment of penny rugs,
make-do's and pinkeeps,
fabric-covered boxes and grungy jars,
cloth-covered journals,
shabby signs,
puzzle balls and old-time pincushions,
and a few things to make you smile.
If you see something you like but can't make it out this way to shop, I'm always happy to custom-create for you--just give me a call!

Vintage Market--Save the Date!!

Besides quilting, one of my other favourite pastimes is searching for primitive treasures for my home.  So I was very excited when I got an email from Leah and Barb at The Olde Farmhouse to be an exhibitor at their first ever Vintage Market!
I'll be selling stuff I've made and collected over the years and I'm sure there'll be lots of other treasures for you.
If you're in the neighbourhood, please drop by and say hi!
