A Wonderful Vintage Market

Besides quilting and crafting, one of my other passions is antiquing.
I love finding treasures and eventually passing them on.
So when I heard about the Deja Vu Vintage Market scheduled for July 6 at a winery located in Delta, about an hour's drive from where I live, I immediately signed up to be a vendor.
I was allocated a 10' x 10' space to pitch my tent.
Here's the "before" picture.
 And here's the "after".
It's amazing how much stuff one can cram into such a small space!
Here's a close-up of one corner of my booth.
Every tent was crammed with goodies.
The weather was perfect and customers were lining up well before the 11:00 am opening.

What a fun way to spend a Saturday!
And after the shopping, we tasted wines in the winery.
Vintage wares, wine, and sunshine--
does it get any better?

Happy Birthday Canada!

I am so thankful to live in such a beautiful country and
today we celebrate its 146th birthday.
But for many in the province of Alberta who have had their lives turned upside down with the recent flooding, there may not be much celebrating going on.
A quilter in Calgary, Alberta, is offering to make quilts for the flood victims with blocks sent to her by other quilters.
If you'd like to help, just go to her blog, http://www.naptimequilter.blogspot.ca/, and check out her June 25th post, "Just One Slab".
Many thanks to Cheryl Arkison for taking this initiative and to Sharon Coxon, http://www.boltsandbobbins.blogspot.com  for making me aware of it.
