“Take your needle, my child, and work at your pattern; it will come out a rose by and by. Life is like that – one stitch at a time taken patiently and the pattern will come out all right like the embroidery.” — Oliver Wendell Holmes

Maybe you can plant a deer garden at the perimeter. It is nice seeing them in the yard, even if they do eat our plants. Last year, I assume rabbits, kept eating the tops of the green beans, so we didn't get any.
Hi Cheryl My mom has this same problem and she bought a product called Deer Gone or something like that and she said it worked like a charm. She applied it once last year and the deer stayed away all season. Darc xxoo
I could hear Peter, Paul, and Mary in my mind, singing your sad song re: the heartless deer. We're lucky not to have them in our yard, and I'm sorry for everyone who has to deal with them.
Author (how cool that I can finally honestly claim that!), quilter, pattern designer, and manic crafter. I love anything beat up, showing its wrinkles, worn down by time. Wife to long-suffering Ben since 1976, mother to amazing kids--Charissa and Geoff. Love traveling and discovering prim/antique/quilt shops along the way and I love spending time at home surrounded by my favourite things.
Why can't those deer eat the things we don't want in our gardens!?
